My sister Candi arrived onboard March 15, 2008, just in time for our 18-day transatlantic crossing to Europe!

Shortly after re-joining the Zuiderdam, I met the ship's Internet Manager Brendan Schenk, a very cute and super-intellegent guy from South Africa. We went on our first date Feb. 15, 2008.

What's Next For Me...

Returned home from Budapest on Jan. 31st, 2008. Received my next sailing assignment ... heading back on the m/s Zuiderdam on Feb. 9th, 2008. Going to spend a month on the ship in the Caribbean, and then do the 18-day crossing to the Mediterranean (similar to what I did the same time last year). What's even better, my sister Candi is going to join me as family member on board for the crossing. Here is the itinerary for the crossing...

View of Sturovo, Slovakia situated just across the Danube from Esztergom, Hungary. The Maria Valeria bridge separates the two cities (and countries) at this border crossing. Since its construction in 1895, the bridge has been been destroyed twice -- most recently during World War II -- and rebuilt both times. From Esztergom, it's just a short walk across the bridge to visit another country!

Back Home (for a bit!)

Returned home on Jan. 12th, 2008 after my latest 3 1/2 month stint out to sea on the ms Zuiderdam. Not sure yet where I head next, but will find out this week. In seven days, I'm heading to Budapest, Hungary for a two-week vacation. Really excited -- never been there before. Will post photos for all to see.
